Millions of lives are impacted daily by mental health conditions. To show our support, Lighthouse organises and participates in several mental health awareness events.
It is a great way to help increase understanding of the complexity of mental illness. Through these events, we can expel myths, educate the public and show support for the many people affected by mental health conditions. We also create safe groups for individuals to share their stories and experiences and find secure spaces for healing.
We collaborate with other organisations and conduct workshops and live sessions to discuss and answer queries and coping mechanisms for the individual suffering and the caregivers too.
Arts and Healing Festival 2021
Lighthouse opened their doors to a festival that is not like any other, offering a place for healing of body, mind, and soul. We embrace all therapy and healing paths and expressions of unity. Circle of Care
Circle of Care was initiated by Lighthouse to help deal and cope with this second wave a little better.
The aim was to hear individual thoughts, feelings, emotions and experiences in a safe space without the fear of judgement.
At the end of the month we managed and went through a journey of emotions and we also managed to bring ourselves to a neutral environment with correct guidance.
It’s been a month of reflection, contemplation and realisation only to emerge stronger and more empowered.
Our workshops are designed to address an immediate need. Whenever we come across a group of people that require a specific kind of training, we create a customized workshop or group therapy session for them, based on their needs and requirements.
